i was thinking it replaces the stock one. but he said it is for an rcs equipped truck. ????? i dunno

This idea came from trying to mount my new OS T2050 pipe and THS header combo. I noticed from this weekend that the pipe started to get scratched up from where it would vibrate against the cage or the chassis so I wanted to come up with a better way to mount the pipe. I never liked the stock pipe hanger spring and I remember that when I didn't have the cage, on really hard landings the pipe would sometimes move because that grub screw that holds it in place slips. So I thought of this as a new way to mount the pipe and keep things vibration free and very solid. No more scratches to my purty new pipe, and it might also change the exhaust note a little since there will be minimal vibrations. I had to drill one additional hole in the cage to mount the piece, and I also grinded down a little bit of the cage closest to the pipe for additional clearance.

Overkill? Probably!

lol you dog... its so simple. haha thats a really good idea! i had to mill out my bottom rcs mounting bracket for teh stinger on my pipe. cool to see yours fits good.

I told you it was really basic!

Sorry for all the drama, but I do think it will serve it's purpose.

you sneaky guy you. I would never have thought of the spring mount. That is a great idea. my bros pipe does the same thing on his RCS cage but on a MGT. I just may do that

You have far to much £££££ invested in that Savage!!! Looks like a nice one though!

It's the only nitro I have so I have to spoil it any chance I get lol.

you said something could be made to work with a savage without a rc solutions cage. how would that work? i might be interested in somethign to taht effect... in trade for a donation to rcnt of course.

There are many mounting holes along the side of the TVP, I could make a mount that would be right under the pipe, or make one that mounts using the two holes that the stock pipe hanger uses. Nearly any hole in the TVP can be used to make a mount, just make sure the mounting location will not interfere with the steering linkage. Let me see if I can whip up a picture with some possible mounting points.

that would be great.. I'm just using a piece of larger piano wire right now and it works ok but a mount like that would work ALOT better.
