Rolex any Scandinavian ancestry by chance?

It still kinda messes with me to read something Danish on a English speaking forum. :)

Glædelig jul og godt nytår.

Well Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too Rolex!

Whoa! How come YOU understood that?

Rolex any Scandinavian ancestry by chance?

It still kinda messes with me to read something Danish on a English speaking forum. :)

And the same to you. Mange Tak.

Pedigreed Norske. Both parents came from Norway.

Fishy, I can't believe what I see! I can't believe you would post that picture publicly and let people know you have a lavender battery charger. What's it for, your Barbie car?
As far as your bench, now THAT'S a manly work shop!

Ah....Jeg tilbragte lidt tid der da jeg levede i England min ven Rolex. Living in Europe you get to pick-up bits and pieces of just about everything.

olds now has my fruity flavored charger....He must have gotten a barbie car :D

funny thing is most of the rigs I can pull down and run right now but I know if anything breaks I'll be coffee table wrenching and I hate doing that when I have an area....so most of it just sits waiting for my lazy ass to clean up and play...I think this week will be very fruitful or frustrating....

How 'bout that!

...I think this week will be very fruitful or frustrating....

Be VERY careful cleaning it up. If you organize too much at once, you'll never know where to look for anything. It's much easier when you already know it's 'on the bench.'

Rolex.....I am not sure how the grammar was on that being I only know bits and pieces but I try.

Oh yeah The more I clean the more I lose things.....it sucks. At one time I was organized....then you get busy and half-way through three projects...next thing you know you are just a fricken mess. I need to work less so I can have more hobby time....lol

Likewise with me. I'm no longer fluent in the language since I haven't heard it in many years, but I was able to figure out what you meant.

..next thing you know you are just a fricken mess.

A fricken mess...understandable, fricken Joe WEE.

frickenjoey the grammar and spelling was topnotch. Provided it was Danish you were attempting.

Rolex at first I thought the spelling was a little of, but then you mentioned your Norwegian ancestry. They use many double T's where we only use one. But we have that soft d sound that really fucks with peoples tongues.

Try this one "rødgrød med fløde"

http://www.speakdanish.dk/html/t_pronunciation_intro.htm

I'm pretty sure the word for cream was Ts, not the d. I'm not sure on the spelling, but it was pronounced that way.

My mother was from Oslo area, and my father from Kristiansand, so I learned many words that had 2 entirely different pronunciations or words.

Your right it's spelled and spoken with a T in Norway. It's only in Danish we have that soft D.

You sure do wrench a lot of poor little engines. I spot 3 and maybe 4 engine cooling heads laying apart from their owners! tsk, tsk. What's with the hot pink Publix carton? Your wife is gonna love washing that towel. :green-grin: All in all, a true man's desk.

Rolex, your new desk owns.

As I said before, Revo Rancher, a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind!

Thanks. It's just too beautiful to let it get messy, so the way it looks in the pic is how I keep it. I purchased it as 5 separate units to get the organization I wanted.

I guess I've got a sick mind then, but most of you already knew that.
Excuse me, but I have to go wax my Savage and this desk again.

cupooter....pink?!?!?! no way it's fuscha get it right dammit....LOL...that towel is permanently greased down to the bench and the pink publix container is actually an old coca-cola can skid...it fits 4 sets of buggy weels perfectly with my table brush and pit towel...most of those mills were rebuilt and sold (here actually)....some are just toasted adn need to be chucked I guess
