Anyone is welcome to come test on the tree! Any cars, any types. We welcome all, and when we start doing our season series, we do allow brushless to compete in the individual points series races for trophies/prizes. Only nitro/gas cars can accumulate points for the season title/belt/trophies however.

I wish I was close enough to come watch!

It was an ok turnout. Well, about half the team was there anyway. The good thing is that the team has grown enough, so that's still enough people to make the setup worthwhile :) It was chilly early, then ridiculously windy once it warmed up. We were getting pelted with dust and gravel at times it was so strong. A car on the real racetrack actually got lifted by the wind and crashed. Some of our cars blew off the tables at times. I just don't know what it is. It can be dead calm all week, but it feels like every time we race the wind decides to not just blow, but I mean BLOW. The good news was it was at our backs. The bad news is that cleaning the dust off the track was useless. We've gotten now to the point we spray down the track with a Sprite/water mixture at least at the start area to give us some traction. We extended it later to halfway down the track. Next time it will be the entire track. It doesn't really create a prep surface so much as it just bonds the dust to the road and makes it manageable. At some point, we are getting moved to another area on the property that is freshly paved and dedicated to RC racing. Hopefully it's soon.

That all said, we did manage to have some great racing, and guys were making some excellent passes. In fact, some of the passes were the best I've seen there.

There was very little video taken. Sorry, guys are just way more focused on getting their cars right than worrying about video, especially during the early TnT events.

I did run Fangdango some, and made some progress with the car, I'll post about that in that thread. There wasn't anything special with that car worth videoing honestly.

Sounds like a not bad start to a new season. Thats pretty cool that you'll be getting your own track and area! Too bad about the wind. It beats rain at least! 👍
