my xl bogs out as its changing into 2nd

my xl bogs out when its changing into 2nd gear (its a 3 speed) and nearly stalls is that cuz its to rich or to lean or somthing else all together
i tryd making hsn richer but didnt seem to work and i leand it out aswell but still no change i dont want to damage it
also i put all needles back to factory and it still does it
can someone plz help its got me stuffed

Maybe it shifts too early? When RPM's are too low for 2nd? Then u would need to adjust tranny.

seriously consider pulling the engine and sealing it. The 5.9 engine is notorious for leaking. An engine won't hold a tune if it's got a leak. Don't rely on the factory to seal the engine.

yeah just b4 i got this problem i only just sealed the backplate ,head and carby and went to take it down the bmx track for a test run and thats when it all started and i have noticed that it not only does it wen its about to shift gears but also will do it as soon as it gets to about half throttle it will just stall
it can't be the tranny cuz it was shifting fine b4 and i have not played with the shift points since

Most likely some silicone got into fuel inlet, HSN area, or somewhere in carb, so You are not getting enough fuel flow. Take carb apart, clean, and reseal it again.
