I was out bashing around when all of a sudden my T Maxx would rev high when i gave it gas but would only move about a quarter of its usual speed. I checked both gears they look fine. I took that transmission apart everything there looks good as well. Could it be my clutch shoes? How do you tell if you need to replace those? Any help would be appreciated....thanks

I checked those...gear looks fine and the slipper is good and tight.

I'm going to guess its your clutch shoes! if it has to rev high before it moves, chances are its reving up until it engages your shoes, get you an MIP or the integy 3 shoeand that should hold ya over for a good while before you ever need to worry about that again.

When a clutch gets too hot it will glaze and slip. Take it apart, and if the shoes don't look badly worn, scuff them up with a fine sandpaper, and do the same to the inside of the bell.

myne was like that too

so i took apart the tranny and it seemed fine but it was doing the same thing
it was not engaging....

so i got new tranny it all fine now!!!

and you engine or sumthing might have shifted out of position!
