I would suggest posting some pics of your savage so that the vetrans here can answer your questions.

As far as what model since it has an upgraded engine it will be hard to tell but its most likely a Savage 21 or 25. Great truck. As far as tunning I will let other chip in, I'm still not that great.

Lots of Savvy owners here, including me. Let us know what problems you might be having and we'll figure them out for you.
Before you start any engine, turn on the Tx and then the Rx and test the movement of the steering servo and the throttle/brake.
Let us know if the engine is stubborn at any point in it's range, and we'll advise you on the adjustment.
You'll need to pick up a temp gauge at a hobby shop since it makes tuning so much more accurate.

Rolex is a seasoned veteran and I haven't seen much he couldn't help someone with. Definitely think about getting a temp guage, it's very important especially since the RC has a lot of sentimental value, I definitely would not want to risk burning it up because I didn't spend 20 bucks on a temp guage.

Loosely translated means...

Rolex is so old he was around when the first r/c was a vine tied to a stone he dragged around as a child.

All kidding aside, as long as you can stand the smell of ben-*** Rolex will definitely help you out. :D

Its true, Rolex is also the class clown and some one we Really enjoy picking on!;)

You will definitely find a lot of great help around here.

Here is a Tuning chart to that may help you a little.
It really should be a good tool.

That's hysterical, NC...
The FCC took away my vine when the first radio wave was discovered but I've saved my rock for all these years.
What ever information you need on dragging a rock, I'm the go-to guy.
Everything else I just make up as I go along.

thanks for the help!!! i will get my roommate to help me post the pic of my savage up so u can see what i got. i did get a temp guage and once again thanks for the help

Whenever you're ready to start it, let us know how it does and we'll get you set up.
The cooling head is an upgrade from American CNC Machining. You need to get a good 2 stage air filter for it.

ok I thought so but then when you said that he needed to get a good 2 stage filter I didn't know if you meant that the one in the picture was a bad one, and I think it's a motor saver.
