I'll be documenting the build/upgrading of my Revo so why not start a thread.

Here's my Revo I got it off a friend who's been trying to get me back in the game for a while...i folded to the pressure it's not much to look at right now but that'll change soon:D

First round of mods/upgrades.
Maximizer beadlock wheels/ bllack(ordered on fleabay)
Tires.(still un decided)
Proline Ford F650 body
17mm Hex conversion
New shocks.
 
What shocks you going with? GTR's?
 
^Yes i'm going with the Hard Anodized Teflon-Coated GTR Shocks.
 
First phase of the build/mods almost done..
Ford F650 body painted Atomic rust.
Proline extended body posts.
Axial beadlocks(got a super deal).
Proline Masher 40 series.
Traxxas 17mm hex kit....the wheels are loose I need to add washers.
Next up is Shocks,Motor swap & a lillte bit of integy chassis bling.

looks nice. I'm not a ford fan but those 650 bodies are really growing on me. the blacked out wheels also look good.
 
I like the color. I've used Atomic Rust on a couple of lids. I also like the Maximizer beadlocks. I use them on my Revo.
 
they are the exact same wheels i recently smashed in a bad crash :(
Now I've only got two good ones..

Is Intergy the best way to go...?? I've heard and keep hearing how crap thier products are.. could be completly wrong..

Looks good. I agree with the color scheme looking bad ass. I don't like when bodies sit that high though. The chassis is still exposed, and the engine is buried. Integy is garbage, but my buddy has had good luck with their 3 shoe clutch and chassis braces. I'd pass on about anything else. I'd gear down a little bit running them big tires. Once you swap to a Red Dot(or another big mill of yer choice), that won't be an issue.:) Nice work so far and keep the updates comin'.:)
 
Thanks for the compliments...I'm definetly going with the pico .26 red dot.

Hey so what company would you guys recommend for upgrading chassis parts??

P.S. I don't really like the body sitting up that high either,I gotta trim the body posts..
 
Golden Horizons, 3 Racing and New Era are some of the parts I've used. I've also got some Bad Horsie Shock covers as well.

Havent seen you mention RPM arms yet...???

I couldnt recommend them enough..
True Track RPM for the rear :)

Is there a rear swaybar kit.. i can't see..??
I assume there wld be it just I've only got the front on mine ATM cause I've got some 3Racing alloy rear rockers and i dont think i can drill a hole to fit the swaybar cause they are hollow..well maybe not the best way to describe them they are not hollow but more of a frame rather than solid...any1 understand that..??
 
My bad for not thinking of RPM. I love their bumpers as well as their arms.
 
The true track setup is a definite..I hate the way the toe is on the revo.

Well i went to the local hobbyshop today to buy the RPM truetrack setup for my revomwhile i was there i started discussing what i want to do with the revo & after being there an hour or more.........


This happened:D
Spanking brand new Savage 4.6 RTR I'm super stoked & can't wait to finish breaking it in & then getting mods for it!!
