Well I had a few old rattle cans of pactra paint left over from before I got an airbrush. So I decided to use em up to paint my HPI NSX body and this is what I got...

Reminds me of the veilside RX7.

Clean job Man!!!

Jon2 thats where I originally got the idea from. I really liked the look of the veilside, and just kinda went along those lines.

Zandor, I pretty much did most of the cutting especially on the smaller pieces before I put the tape on the body. I used a piece of glass from an 8x10 frame to cut the tape on, then just applied it to the body. I did very minimal cutting of the tape once it was on the body.

  thanks for the input.. I just painted my first today but now with your method I think I can do alot more with with your way then just staying with a mask...

Thats a good looking job. I end up using all those spray-cans laying around for the last color/sealer coat.

Thats funny I came across the today I used the exact same method last night with my T-Maxx body. I had tape everywhere by the time I was done my baby daughter she is 1 1/2 was helping me lol, I was taking tape out of her hair the couch just about everywhere, I guess she thought we where painting everything lol. That is a sweet paint job NCNitro nice work!!!

 Jesse

I like it, NC. Cutting the mask on glass would also make it a lot easier to do flames.
What I really like is the two-tone with the aluminum on the rear spoiler. Nice touch.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Rolex, that aluminum look on the spoiler is one of my favorite ways to paint spoilers. I just paint the entire spoiler using Pactra Indy Silver in a spray can, not just the bottom side. When it dries it looks like aluminum, I really like the look of it, and this way the spoiler does not have one shiny side and one dull side.

Jesse, my 4 year old son likes to "help" too. I just gave him my old original T-Maxx body so when I paint he paints on his, and when I mask he masks his as well as the table, counter, couch, dog, or anything else in the way, lol. When I decal my bodies he has to decal his, he must have 200 stickers on that body by now.

LOl thats funny Its cool when your kids are intrested at such a young age. I kept cutting pieces of tape for her and she was having a ball lol.
