As some of you know I have been collecting Hot Wheels for over 10 years. Well lately I have scaled back my HW collection, sold off and traded off a bunch of it. I added a few Johnny Lightnings to the mix, imo the detail on them is far nicer than any hot wheel ever, and I really like the black with flames series. So I took a few pics of one of them from this series, a Plymouth GTX, thought I would post them up for you guys to check out, I hope you like em.

My neighbor has that exact same car (Without the flames). Cool pics!

That's a HW? Man, far more bitchin' than the ones I had as a kid!

Nope, it's a Johnny Lightning. Same size as a Hot Wheel, just way more detailed.

Thanks man...It's a Canon Powershot A70

Nice Joe...I have a friend that has GTX all re done stock...he thought about selling it once..25,000,00
Then he changed his mind..

Johnny Lightenings are awesome! I have some of the old NASCAR stuff the redid several years ago and they are great pieces. At the time I was so wrapped up with NASCAR collectibles I wanted to strictly stay NASCAR only but those Johnny Lightnings almost got me into the regular stuff too. They've had some awesome pieces over the years like the Munster's T-bucket and stuff.

I may have to see if I can find any of those to give my son for Christmas, maybe get him started on his own little collection. Can you find those anywhere HW's are sold or only through specific outlets?

Monkey, you can find them at Wal-mart, K-mart, KB Toys, Toys are us, and a few other places. However at the moment Toys R Us has some kind of deal going with JL, and are selling many of the models for .97 cents (same price as a hot wheel), they are regularly around 3.50 each. If you go to TRU look for a stick on scue over the printed one on the back of the card, these are the ones that are on special. They have also had two packs for about 2.50 of some of the other cars. The quality of these blow away Hot Wheels! If you pick some up post some pics of which ones you get, I would love to see them. I have a few more I can post pics of later when I get home from work, but they are still in the blister packs so they wont be like these pics, lol.
