Since I'm not into bikes, what is a pit bike? To me it looks like a strange looking dirt bike.

Basicly it got the name cause its a little bike to ride around in the pits at a mx race. BUT they have became very popular and people actually race them now.

yep thats what they derived from is for cruising around at races, then pro's started using them a few years ago when backflips werent so everyday to learn flips on into the foam pits before trying on full sized bikes....now they are for you and your buddies to get drunk and trash em lol.


if only Lloyd and Harry could have gotten a pit bike instead of a tote goat lol.

Not to derail the thread, but when you mentioned doing back flips into the foam pits it reminded me of something.
Have you guys seen the video of the guy doing the back flip into the dumpster of foam and he misses the landing and goes chest first into the bobcat they were using to pull the bikes out? It was on Spike TV several times, I'll put the link up once I find it. (been looking and can't seem to find it at this moment)
I worked with a guy who was big into motorcross, after about six months I found out it was him in the video. At least after finding that out, it explained why he wasn't the smartest guy in the world.

Funny thing is, he's married to a surgeon and quit working, does nothing but hunt and fish all the time! Lucky SOB.
