Well I guess the crawlers budget just got put on hold lol. I got a 76 chevy LUV for $850. Runs awesome rebult carb, new clutch, new alternator, new head, plugs, wires and belts. Passed smog with no problems.

I know it doesn't look like much but I love these trucks. I had a 79 when I was in high school. It was my first ride. I am going to do this one up right though. Bag it and what not. I will keep you guys updated.

The day i got it

Got all the vinyl off it today. Tomorrow I am going to sand it down and MURDER IT OUT! (paint it semi gloss black) Just rattle can for now it will look better than the crap brown and baby blue lol. Will post more pics tomorrow.

Cool!

I had a 79 Luv 4x4 in high school. Put a body lift on it and proceeded to beat the living crap out of it off road.

Thanks guys.

Nope the bike project is getting traded for all the airbag stuff for the luv plus a couple hundred bucks.

Bye bye bike :( Well you'll make the little lady happy with that decision. Maybe save a life or 2 as well. The LUV project is original and I'm looking forward to seeing it come to life. :D

Ya I like old school stuff. Made my mom happy to see the bike go as well lol. It needed a couple grand put in it anyway f-it right?

Thanks guys.

Hell ya! Id rather have a bagged mini truck any day over a crotch rocket, congrats on the project!

Murdered it out yesterday and tried to pull some of the haggard dent out of the bed. It looks a little better. The front is coming down more maybe today or something. Its hard to get the front low on these trucks.

Sanding and prep...

I remember my dad had one. Those things were tough little trucks. Put some weight in the back and it would do really well in the snow from what I remember... for a 2WD.

thats thing looks sweet! dude i am really amazed from what it looked like to this in a few days maybe! haha but I really like it!

Nice! My brother had a light blue one as his 1st truck way back when, cool rides!

Ya I couldn't believe this one has no rust. The floor pans have surface rust that's it.
