Well my nephew called me up and wanted me to build him a car. No problem I said. Well I should have asked what kind first. He wanted a brushless powered 4wd drifter. I have never even looked at a drift car much less worked on one. Now i got his OFNA up and running, that was easy. Now to build his drift car.
We have ordered a White Wolf kit. I ordered a speed passion motor/esc combo. I still need a high speed steering servo and a radio. As far as a body I will get one when it is about done.
So does anyone here have any experience with rc drift? Any tips or tricks? I checked a drift forum but found them to be rude so I will not be going back. Thank You, Shaun

I do this with my TC3 and TC4 drifters, gear it really low and lock the rear diff if you're using rubber tires. gear it high (top end) if you get plastic drift tires. turn your camber and toe on the front way out, 3-4 times what you would setup for racing. makes it squirlley as hell but easier to "flick" the rear end out and break traction.

if you want the "feel" of drifting over power the hell out of it. down side is this is rough on your rig more power + hard driving = chewed drivetrain...

good luck, I'm sure more people will have other suggestions to add.

Thank You for the advice. The odd part, if you will, is that I am kinda excited to get into this. I have built road race, off road crawlers, drag, circle track, late model rcs so this is totally new to me and I am looking forward to it. I will do a build thread on it. Thank You again, Shaun
