ok ,just got my tmaxx fianlly broklen in good ,running about the 9th or 10th tank thru it ,
and my sons was running it this afternoon testing a new pipe and he flipped it ,no biggy ,it flamed out and all.brought it back tried to refire it ,nothing
ok check the plug
took it out little fine filings on the plug
thoguth what the hell is going on here this is totall new new P/S new bearings rebuilt carb everything but the case it new.
upon tearing it down didnt find anything but fileings all thru the sleeve and top of the psiton.
i removed the piston and sleeve and inspected it all, seen nothing everything looked good till i looked the rod over ,noticed the 1 jurnal of piston has broken off
anyone have this happen to a well new motor??
did i do something wrong?
it was temping around 241 highest it got with the body on ,
and had about 1/4 tank left in it ,,
i am lost ,maybe i should call traxxas and see what they say,they just replaced the p/s for me ,
lemme know what ya think

Man I would call Traxxas and let em know what happened. I hear they have great customer service.
 
just got off the phone with them,,
they are standing behind it and they are going to fix it for me ,
so i guess i am without a maxx till i get the motor back again
just as it is getting nice too ,,lol
oh well i will have a new motor again ,

Well your luck is about a thousand times better then my luck. Took my maxx out today put some fuel in it and it would not start.so I goosed the throttle and it fired up and ran fine but when I let go of the throttle my truck died I let it get nice and warm and it did the same thing.Well I moved the flywheel with my finger and it had no thump, no pop My piston and sleeve have worn out and I got no $$$.so I packet up my stuff and I dropped my radio and broke the antenna and broke off the trigger. My luck suxxxx
