hi all just thought id show off my new work. The first savage iv made a new tank on. cuz i kept smashing the old ones. this one the plastic is much less brittle, but it dont hold as much fuel. the seconed savage has the original first tank with a very well protected seconed tank. the reason i had to mount the tank the way i did on the first savage is cuz its got roto start so had to keep it out the way.

shorty that looks kool how did you make your own tanks?

addandy
its all in the setup where the lines connect to which way withthe first tank connecting to the pressure on the secong and the bottom line running to the carb on the second and the pressure line on the first from the exhaust. the picture kinda demo's it but when you fill the first tank up the fuel should just run down to the second tank.

i didnt make the tanks there heli tanks but there cheap

Nicely done. Doe u have to re-tune it? With the extra fuel coming from the second tank, I;m sure it'll run alot richer.

This may be stupid, but how do you fill up the second tank?

he doesn't, the fuel flows from one tank to another, so once the 2nd tank fills up with fuel from the 1st tank, he tops of the 1st tank and wallah, he now has 2 tanks of gas. am i correct, shorty?

shorty you are a great bodger..keep the ideas coming.

how did the tweeking of your carb go..(the boiling that was coming from your carb)did you richen your lsn??

Ok the second tank has got to be full at all times. U fill it up during installation. The second tank is not for extra fuel, it’s to stop the self leaning which happens when u get low on fuel. It works cuz it doesn’t matter how close to empty ur main tank gets ur second tank is always giving the same feed to the carb

But be warned it is very hard to get the second tank set up right. I'm still tweaking mine
By this I mean the pick up point and the inlet point inside the tank

O! and yes i think iv got it ill be trying it soon

with my dual tank setup I found a easy way to fill the second one. I have one of those hand crank pumps on my gallon of fuel, I connect the fitting on the end of the fuel line on the pump to the line going into the second tank. Turn the second tank so the clunk is pointed upwards and the fuel sits at the bottom, then I just crank the pump a few times and it fills up until fuel starts coming out of the second tank. If you don't want to do something that complicated you can blow into the pressure line going into the first tank which will force fuel into the second tank to prime it.
