ok, i think I'm just gonna scrap my 4 year old T Maxx 2.5 for now. i need to replace a lot of stuff on it and i just wrecked it today by hitting a pot hole filled with water. i lost 4 screws that hold the tranny in and those screw holes got completely stripped out and my servos all got soaked. i need to replace the whole suspension, i need a new tranny case, a new engine, new a arms, new drive shafts, and I'm missing a chunk of my front bulk head from hitting the pot hole. i looked over everything and its all beat up. I'm missing a few screws holding on the skid plates too and they are all gashed and scarred. I'm thinking of putting my T Maxx away until i get a job and rebuild the whole thing from the ground up. an all aluminum beast. itll take a long time but thats the point. so in the mean time i was thinking about getting the Revo 3.3 5309. I've really been wanting a Revo for awhile and here is my chance. the only thing that might be an issue is that i would ask for the Revo for christmas or for an early christmas present but it will be cold out when i get it. will i have to wait till its warmer before breaking in the engine or will doing a cold break in not affect the engine? i broke in my T Maxx's engine in mid march and it didnt really effect it but it wasn't too cold. just gimme your thoughts and opinions

I agree with Racer. Cold weather break-ins can lead to a short life mill. I can do it all year round here; but there in PA it gets damn cold in the winter.

would i be able to take the 3.3 engine off the revo when i get it and just throw in the 2.5 engine from my maxx till it gets warm enough to break in the 3.3 engine? i wouldnt mind doing that

Sure you could do that. Just make sure to swap the bell gears off the engines since the old Maxx and Revo were geared way differnt.
