Now i jus purchased one of these buggies. i wore the engine in on about 4-5 fuel tanks jus doing wat it said then started givin it some. then the other day i was drivin it and then the larger gear shredded itself. I wondering wether this has anything to do with the clutch. also it has a problem with idle and if not accelerating for longer than bout 4-5 secs it will cut out?? help anyone.

ps- have ordered new gears.

make sure your gear mesh is good. check the compression, how hot is it getting?

ahh havnt measured temperature.. yet but just today got the new gear chuked it in and adjusted the HNS and LNS and the new gear shredded almost instantly and i was idling around.. lucky bought spare. am taking to hobby shop coz i am lost now

i had the same buggy as urself but sold it to me girlfriends brother and he has the same problem with the gears stripping..... I've heard they are cheap n can be nasty.... dunno how true that is

SOUNDS TO ME JUST LIKE BAD GEAR MESH sorry caps, take a reciept and slide it between your gears, push them together and once you think your set, gently slide the reciept out, it should be folded and have teeth marks, but it should not be cut or torn

The problem with these is they have no center diff or slipper clutch the have a gear that sits on a pin that goes inbetween the shaft thats on the trans
