My First T-Maxx!!

Whats up everyone! Just bought my first T-maxx 2.5! This will be my second nitro rc after I first bought that junk from exceed. Anyways, does anyone have any advice on upgrades, tuning or anything else i should be watchful for when i first fire it up?

High speed needle (hsn), 4 turns out from closed, lsn flush with end of carb barrel. You could get some Aluminum skid plates, chassis braces, Bulkheads. This is just a start. Lol have fun. If its new, follow the break-in procedure as close as you can to exact.

advice

i could give you lots of advice, but i dont know how much would be good. just one thing now. dont break and steer at the same time, a t-maxx sets so high it will do a "good" flip, sometimes sideways, sometimes end over end. wait one more thing, you need LOTS of room to run these rcs. also pick your lhs by two things. 1. they should have a good stock of parts. 2. they should have people that know what they are doing.

A forward only conversion for the tranny and an 18 tooth clutch bell would be my top 2. A 5 cell, rechargeable receiver pack and a fail safe is actually the most important first upgrades if your Maxx doesn't have either. Read everything you can about tuning, setting gear mesh and engine sealing.

RPM a-arms! do not use aluminum on a-arms or your skids. Only aluminum you want is your bulkheads. If you want to bash your truck and have fun jumping. RPM parts is the way to go. Get some after run oil, and put a fail safe on your truck!.
