The Nitro RS4 3 Evo +
The reason I chose this one was because the electronics are in a waterproof housing, it also comes with a nice muscle car body and its shaft drive.

Other then knowing those things I have no real clue what I am doing with it but I was able to fire it up and run it a bit with the wife.

Cool man, I like it!!! I don't have an HPI car but I think I'd like having one of those. Follow your instruction on breaking in that engine. And there are plenty of guys on here to help you with whatever you run into. (except for curbs, mail boxes, parked cars, parking lot light poles, trees, and stuff like that.)

I was worried about ending up in the sewage drain the first day useing it o.0

I got away with just scuffing one side

If I had a sewer drain, I probably would have hit that too by now. I've hit the bricks around the flower bed, the front wheel of my Explorer truck, the curb head on at half throttle, a small ditch, a chain link fence that was too low to go under, and stuffed my truck under the neighbors car. I also hit a squirrel and I thought for sure he was road kill but it turned out that he was OK.

I found the best place to run my on roads is in a tennis court. The place is closed in, there's no big obstacles to run into and it's a smooth surface. The only downside is if it's being used then you either have to wait or use less of it.

no tennis courts in my area, we do however have a new parking lot (newly made) That I can come to after work to run on :D

Pic will follow.

Air Cleaner Question

OK This might seem like an odd question (I have TONS of them) But, I was wondering

I have a little foam aircleaner on my nitro car. I was wondering can it be replaced with something more durable? such as...

The filter you have on you car is probably one of the best available for these engines. It is a high flow filter and easy to clean. You just take it apart, wash it with dish soap, and put a few drops of filter oil (or whatever oil you have) on it and mash it between your fingers to spread the oil, and put it back together and it's like new again. The filters you pictured look like they are for a 1/5 scale gas engine. That's a high flow filter and it needs to be covered with a sock (you can buy a cover made for it) to act as a pre-filter. The one on you car has a pre-filter and an inner filter.

Thanks :D I will go buy some K&N oil for the filter completely forgot about buying oil :/ and that makes sense I have a open Velocity stack on my blast so dont think that would be wise for my car.

Well, most of these fellows will tell you that you should be using the filter oil designed for these engines because it is real thick and real sticky. I have some and use it. But when it's gone ?????? I use whatever I grab for the filter on my 1/5 scale truck. i.e; 2 cycle oil, 30W, trans fluid, 3 in 1. If you look through the posts on filter oil you'll find that many people use just about everything. You probably shouldn't use WD40 because it will make rubber swell.

I have Lucas Gun oil that I use on my guns (obviously right) and on my pinstriping brush would that work?

I just got these in Real happy :D

I have the third set (Far right) put on the car right now.

Stay away from the K&N filters, no matter how pretty you might think they are.
Go with oiled foam, 2 stage Motor Saver ALWAYS recommended.

Nice man, where abouts are you from? Have you seen the tsais rear exit exhaust I think I'm gonna have to buy one lol

I'm in La Joya Tx never seen the exhaust but sounds cool would love to find a way to have "lake pipe" style on the car lol
