So I was at my LHS today and I was just wondering around like normal when i came across this RTR nitro Buggy. I thought well I have never had a Buggy nor have I gotten my Savage X SS in the mail yet so this is also my first Nitro RC. I asked the owner and he says $300 I said what the hell ok lol. So now I have a Kyosho Inferno TR15. is this a good buggy for a beginner?

Man, i am a beginner too at buggys and guess which model i choose? I choose the Inferno MP777 from Kyosho. It costs me about 1000$ for the buggy plus about 500$ for starting toolkit and misc. But it was a good job i must tell. After 15 hours busy to set the buggy from the pieces that the box contains, i start the buggy, i see it running. Man, it was beautiful. I don't know about you but when i want something i want the best (and cheap in the same time. However i overdo it about my buggy but...) .Thats all. I hope to have a good memory about buggys.
Oh, i forgot. About the TR15 you said. Arrrhh, i don't know man, wait for anothers WHO HAVE IT. I don't have it.(Since now i have only kyosho stuff and O.S. VZ-B V-SPEC .21 engine on my buggy.).

Well I like trucks better thats why I went with the Savage X SS but I like this one its craziness.. she took her first roll last night and i assidentaly chiped the wheel

Kyosho is a good name as far as rtrs go you really can't go wrong just as long as you learn the basics of 1/8 scale

I guess i put this in the wrong spot. mine is 1/10 scale nitro 4WD

i have a 1/8 kyosho inferno gt, the first thing that broke where my front 2 wheels, bought some better more durable ones, then i crashed it and i payed $100 to fix it, whole front end and part of the back. but now i am running it again but as far as kyosho's go, as long as you are driving them right, they are awsome. i use mine for drifting.

You might want to pm Ratzo about the TR15. I believe he had one for a short time, or maybe just try doing a search on the buggy to find some opinions on it. I have seen one in person and it is a very cute looking little thing. Ony thing that stood out as possible weak areas were the laydown shocks and the piano wire linkages(they can be easily replaced with stout rods/ball ends). The angle of the shocks makes me think it wasn't built to handle big jumps but that is purely speculation.

Good luck with it.

It seems to bottom out easaly but thats ok I have the Savage for that lol

You heard that many in this forum like to running their models on drifting, circuits or whatever. I'm running it as drag. Full speed and the results they are amazing if your model lives (that how i destroy my two engines). However i crash one time my 1/12 .12 powered model on a wall, because of my cousin (BIG story) and to fix it...man, i pay 150$ to change the whole front differential, the chassis, the base of the engine which the engine had flew when it crushed. I was running it at almost 50 mph (3 gears). Now i'm running my buggy 1/8 Inferno MP777 and i'm very proud of it. The only problem i have now is the brakes which i will fix it (well not fix it, but to make them better). I hope chose the right buggy for you.

There you go just goes to show you if you keep your eyes peeled. You never know what you might find.

Kenny
