  1. Bashing
Met up with Grinch in Newfoundland. The coast with the most. We found a great lot, lots of dirt piles, open space and perfect snow. I had just finished breaking in my 2.5 and Grinch brought out his .15 Maxx.

It was a bitter sweet day. I got up and running but Grinch had to reverse a backward mount, in the cold, first. Then he had some minor starting problems. Meantime I was takin some first airs off a small lip. I was doing pretty good until I cartwheeled and snapped a turnbuckle end.....and then Grinch got fired up.

Oh the irony! I bought this Maxx mainly to bash with him, after all he's the one who sold me on a Maxx in the first place. Bought it the day it got released and never received it until Christmas eve. We didn't even get out till the last day of my vacation. And we never got to race at the same time first nor last.

I guess the bitter part of the story is obvious. But a T-Maxx 2.5, I had been waiting for daily, for 3 months, to show up on Christmas eve.

SWEET!

Thanks Grinch,
though it kinda sucked, it makes for pretty good story on the forum.

Hey your doing good! Someones taking care of you for waiting so long. For a first bash you usually have to spend a minimum of 50$ American!!!!

I though i was all badass on my first maxxing day. Took the wife and kids to the local park, fired it up on the baseball diamond, 40 seconds or so later, SMACK, the fence post. Bash over.

50 bucks later and a laughing wife to this day!!!

You certainly got away with an inexpensive bash session...the costly ones will come with more experience.

I just busted my rear bulkheads....the first major damage to my T (after about a year of ownership). BUT over that time I have spent about a grand in upgrades and broken little pieces.

Session 1......$7.00 let the fun begin!!!!!

Hey man if it breaks, go stronger. I've busted 3 of the stock turnbucles, (in about 1 gal of fuel) and finally ordered some titaniums from Stormer. They should be in any day now, and I'll let you know what they work out to with the exchange. On second thought, don't think they'll work for the 2.5 though.

My first time out, the frekin thing flooded and hydro locked, and my ez start motor went up in smoke. It made a very stylish paper weight for the first week and a half I had it.

Well, I did the flooded & hydro locked thing too, when I cleared the engine I pulled the plug, hooked up the easy start, forgot to turn the truck upside down and shot nitro to the celing.

6 people were standing around in a circle watching, when I fired the EZ starter and it was just like I threw a gernade in between us all because everybody went running.
