Well despite what everybody said,
"noname pos"
"you get what you pay for."
"paper weight"
"absolute junk"
I went ahead and bought that 60 dollar ported TOKI Nitro Engine .27CXP and gave it a try.
The installation was a challenge, had to buy an aftermarket swingarm, big block kit, Roto start, side pull throttle and RR Clutch assy and slipper gear, and do some grinding on the engine mount to get a good fit..

(BTW, can anybody identify the rotostart on this engine, it came off a car we bought from e-bay and I can't find the brand name)

Finally got it together Friday afternoon and went through the break in process. Went through 6 tanks of gas and took it easy on it.
So far so good, it ran good and felt strong.

Yesterday, our gang got together and did some bashing at our local track. Almost all of the guys I run with all have the expensive picco .26's, HPI 5.9's and sirio .27's they gave me an earful as well.

Well, I ran 12 tanks of fuel through it and it ran good. I was impressed with the power and she kept up with all those guys all day long.

I kept waiting for it to break but it never did.

Only issues I had was that the one way bearing in the starter kept slipping after about 2 hours. I had to take it out and clean the grease off of it and it would work for about 2 more hours, get dirty and stop grabbing.

Sooo...
So far so good. It held up for 1 day of driving it hard and racing. I think it was worth 60 dollars to find out.

No telling what will happen next weekend, but for now, she runs strong, starts quickly and hauls ass.

Will it last??? Time will tell.

Well for 60 dollars and if it has more power than the stock 3.3 then i say good deal. Beat the snot out of it and dont worry about it. have fun!

Now how much do you have in it?

Fun to be different though, isn't it?

Looks like the one Duratrax used on the Warhead/RTX-27
