Hi savage people around the globe....

Bought my 21 last week.
Hear some rumours about motorbackplate of the pullstarter...
These bolts may'd be loosen when running in , i heard
Sombody had this bad experience allready ??

Do i better screw them off...? apply some loctite and screw back ?? ::yes:

yep.. best thing to do. Also make sure all the other screws are tight. Engine mounts, check throttle servos before firing it up.

hi mugen racer ! thanks for reply !

Do you think srews can be go off without any trouble ?
Its because of the string ....is it build in separatly or has it something to do with the crank assemblies ??
I dont want to get out the whole bunch out of the back o t.
engine...

Wait if you have a savage 21 with a .21 in it then you are ok... you can leave them be. it is only with the .25

Never hurts to double check. Mine didn't have loctite on it when I got it. I just did one at a time so I didn't have the whole thing fall out. Take one out, put some loctite, then screw it back in. Then move on to the next one. I know most of the backplate problem is for the S25, but some .21's had that problem.. Mine and my brother's didn't have loctite.

Hi Wicky, it's only on the savage 25 this is a problem, so if it's the Savage 21 you got it shouldn’t have this problem, (the reason I maybe thing it’s the 21 you got is that I haven’t jet seen the savage 25 in the European stores yet)

But here the link to the “how to” from hpi
