i have a lynx 3d and i love it also i buht mine on ebay with 2 recievrs for 175 and it was worth it for the one feature that i particularly love is the idle up but that automaticaly opens the trottle during start up

I've got the Lynx 3D and must say that it is a great radio. Bulky, but great. I have the full kit like Matts and it offers a great deal of flexibility and room for expansion.

I'm also running the Lynx with the full setup and I will say its a great radio:) I run 3 car/trucks and 1 boat with it.

so i see that the lynx3d is a popular radio. ne opinoins on the mx3

I have an mx3, I like it it is a great radio and a great price, If you have the money and want to spend it the lynx system sounds great. But I give the MX3 a 9 out of 10. Lots of features for a great price.

Honestly, I know NOTHING about the MX-3 so I cannot comment on whether or not it is good or bad.

However, the Lynx 3D is an Excellent choice! The ONLY complaint I have ever had about it was the documentation. However, once you get beyond that, everything is a plus!

I also only run the spectra module with the Novak XXTra FM Synth RX's. The RX's can get a little pricey at 90$ a piece, especially if you have a handful of cars. The other option would be to relocate the RX from vehicle to vehicle if cost is an issue.
