Yikes ..A lot of info! (1) .12 SG shaft, (2) super silicone 5000, (3)Depends on the surfice but 30 -40 (4) if you want to get serious and start racing yes but get useto driving it again first (5) I use Hitec and PDS but they are kind of pricey You can use what ever you want there but again if you plan on racing alot then servos with 0.06-0.09 speed and 2.9 kg torque somewhere in that ball park. (6) no but if you run it in parking lots they tend to pick up pebbels and have to be cleaned (7) The MTX-2 is a good car the way it is but it's a little outdated but still competitive One of my outlaws is a modified MTX-2 and It's the fastest speed wise of all my cars but it has a 21 Sirio I hope this helps you

1. Slide carb, SG shaft.

2. Start with 30K, 50K is also common.

3. 60W Mugen

4. Yes, unless you run a very small track with a lot of turns, very technical, the diff is used when you need a lot of breaking like in the conditions above.

You scrub a lot of corner speed with the diff, normally, people use the oneway.

5. Airtronics, KO Propo, Futaba, Hitec are all good.

I'd go for the Airtronics hi-speed, its .6 sec I believe.

If your on a budget, check out the Hitec 625's they offer a digital version, I think its the 5625. Make sure you get the high speed version.

6. Belts dont break, unless you get a rock pebble stuck in there. You will have to replace them after a period of time from normal wear.

7. I'd keep it stock for now.

By the way, I dont own the MTX-2, i'm giving you good settings for the MTX-3 but they should be the same.

By the way said:
I think he means the set up questions that you asked for which are fine but the spec sheets are way different between the MTX-2 and 3 Alignment, droop and soforth don't use the MTX-3 specs. I'll give you a starting point if you need one for the 2

No settings were given. Only diff weight and shock oil weight. Dunno about the diff oil weight since I run a ball diff in my 710 but 60wt for shocks!?! good if you're running at a well groomed/dedicated track. I'd go with 35wt and stick to the stock shocks. For settings, open the manual and reset everything to stock, unless Da Helion has a good place for you to start your settings. That's good to have someone help you like that. I wou;d've been lost on my serpent if someone didn't help me.
