Hi all, i was wondering what you guys think of the HPI MT2. i have a RC10gt and it is fun but i run in harsh conditons and i need 4wd (so i will be trading hopefully)and like the cheap ness of ST I just want to know how upgradeable is it and how durable is it. also does it use 2.2 truck wheels and tires and does it exept 1/10 ST bodies. any other info that may be useful i would appriciate it.

Hey Tarant, I have had my mt2 for right at a year now. I usually just run it while my savage is waiting for parts. Personally, I like it. I have the .15 rtr version, it's not a powerhouse by any means...but thats ok because the stock brakes suck. I'm just a basher so mine gets abused pretty hard and it's held up well. I've replaced three front lower suspension arms and 1 rear...but I was doing something it wasn't really made for, so I don't blame the truck! It does use 2.2 wheels and the geolanders hold up great. They just aint the best traction out there. The weekest link on mine after about 2 gallons is the suspension arm pivots, after that the brakes. I would recommend it for an all around basher, but if I was off to the track I'd be looking elsewhere. My opinion. Have fun!!!

I use my MT2 like supersavage, for some fun when the Savage is apart for maintenance or I don't want to lug the big Savy to work or something. Mine has held up well with the only problem being the front steering knuckles. The top and bottom screws (mostly the bottom) strip out causing you to spit a dogbone. There are aluminum versions of the knuckles out there (GPM, New Era) and that should solve the problem. I've taken it to the local track and jumped it pretty hard and it can take a beating. You can even put street tires on it and have some fun too...

Thanks mustang...I forgot about the screws in the steering knuckles...I just put new knuckles on mine 3 weeks ago from that happening...I haven't had mine setup for on-road, but I bet it would be a blast!!
