:hehe:

It's a sad sad day. It's going to take awhile for me to recover from this set back. Please wish me well in my struggle to return to a somewhat normal life.

No GrudgE, the Revo will be buried with my hero.....no grave robbing either!!:hehe:

I had no idea he was created after a real person.

I'm sorry you had to hear this man, i really knew it would hit you hard:( lol

Whew you scared me to death. I thought OUR mr clean had passed away, and then as I was opening the thread I was thinking someone just posted with his user name an hour ago, then I saw what you meant. There should be a notation in the title, I really thought we lost a good member

well i looked at jeffs user name for a bit to make sure i wrote it different, thus the period after mr. lol.

I had no idea he was created after a real person.

I'm pretty sure he was always an animated character. House Peters might have done the voice over for him.

It was only recently that Poppin Fresh died, also.

It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following news.

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.
Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs.
Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker,
the Hostess Twinkies, and Cap’n Crunch.
The gravesite was piled high with flours.
Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as
a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose
quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers.
He was not considered a very ‘smart’ cookie, wasting much of his dough on
half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky in his youth
and a crusty old man, he was considered a roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough; two children, John
Dough and Jane Dough; plus the bun they had in the oven.
He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

Nope, there was an actual actor portraying Mr Clean at one point. It may have been during the early 80's.

Yeap Ralph,
from the article

"The elder Peters' most memorable role came as Mr. Clean - a muscular man with a bald head, a hoop earring and a no-nonsense attitude toward dirt and grime. From the late 1950s and into the early 1960s, Peters Jr. helped advertise the famous household cleaner with the trademark jingle, "Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean."

I could've sworn I saw the commercials somewhere... Must've been on one of those 'commercials of the past' specials on Nick at Night.
