There's really no good answer for that. Too many variables, and nobody has really tested every engine to see what would be fastest. That said, look at something to like the LRP .30. You can also mess with gearing if you want speed. Upgrade to the 3-spd trans with the taller third, and change your spur/clutch bell combo.

Thanks, i completely understand!

Thanks, i might just buy me a picco .28

I have the LRP .28 and LRP .30 Both are screamer mills. The Picco P3 .28 is no doubt an excellent engine. I would say the LRP .30 or Picco would be the best all around engines. For speed and torque.

no dont get the pico i blew two of them.get axial 28 2 spec is very good.

Um....I would never go Axial over Picco. LPR and Picco will both destroy an Axial .28 in every aspect torque, RPM and overall reliability. I have owned a couple Axial engines and I will never own another since I tried LRP and Picco.

i personally like sts engines. i have heard that you can get faulty ones. i know a authorized dealer and if you get them broke in by a dealer then they are waranteed

Yeah but what is the cost of getting one broken-in by the dealer and how do I know he actually knows what he is doing? I mean just because someone sells it does not mean then know anything about it. Best Buy proves that every day.

A guy that used to work at a lhs here would get paid to 'break in' a motor. Basicly he would take it to the parking lot out back, and just run the piss out of the thing for a tank, but it on a shelf for 2 days, then charge for 2 days of labor.

it costs me 20 dollars to get it broke in, i know he does it right because i have watched him do it, i know him personally and i trust him, if he didn't break in my vehicles right they wouldn't last 5 or so gallons like they have

I've always considered the breaking in of motors part of the hobby. Do you also pay people to fix them?

I'm a college kid that has enough time to fix small things, i have broke in motors but i wanted the warantee for the sts engines i have had so i have them do it, i do have them fix transmissions and shim differentials for me, i dont know how to shim differentials thats why they do that

My savage is like a hooker. She performs better when I throw more money at her. But then turns into the wife and starts nagging when its time to pack up. LOL :p:

Axial motors are junk!! I bought a .28 brand new, broke it in properly, and sold it, total junk. Lrp or Picco, can't go wrong with those two! I have a lrp z.28s3 in my rig and it screams!!
