Motors for the RC10GT

Just finding out some information.. I "may" be getting a new motor soon, so I'm going to find out about some of the motors available to me.

Here's what I want to know really.. What all motors can I toss in this pig, and what motors are good?

I was looking at.... I think it was a hot bodies .18, it may be something else though, I know the box had a circle with an HB on the front, so.. But it did say that it was a .18 for a .12-.15 space. Just wondering

Do you want to convert it to an electric? Electric RCs use motors.

If it is an engine you are looking for any of the .12 or .15 will fit.
You need to make sure you get a short shaft.

If you plan on racing look to see what your track will allow. Some tracks will only let you use a .12 unless you have a a RTR, then you can only run a stock engine.

Anyways, I was looking into that .18.. Though I can't find much about it. I know it comes with two different color heads. One is a blue, and the other is the SAME head as is on the new lHB lightning pro. I dunno.

Quite honestly the .18 will have to much power for the little beast and add undesired weight to the truck. A good .12 will give you better overall performance.

Well, I don't care for wieght. I'm looking more for "wheelies" on the pave'd drag LOL

But the .18.. is it a good engine?

And I need more wieght in the rear, sick and tired of the think taking a dump head first into the dirt lol

I have no clue on the .18 I have never seen one in action.

For wheelies tighten the slipper. I use the OS.12 TR and can pull wheelies all day long. I have to loosen the slipper just to go in a striate line from the incredible torque steer and to keep the front wheels on the ground during acceleration.

Well, the HB motor I can snag for under 100 bones, but the OS is going to cost me 40 extra.. I'm not sure, I can't find any information about them anywhere... Hmm....

u get what u pay for. If no one has any info on the HB engine - what does that tell u.....hmmmm. also, tap the accelerator will in the air, and u will stop the nose down attitude of the vehicle. BUY OS!!!! let me say that again. BUY OS!!!! they are by far the best engines out there for everyday running. U can get a .12 cv for 89.99. or a cv-r which will make that truck SCREAM for less than 150. spend a little now, save alot in the long run.

Well... As for the throttle thing, it doesn't matter if it's on the brakes or on the gas in the air, it still...

It might not be a perfect quote, but hey, I liked it and you get the point. And as for OS motors, the CV .15 here is 149.99.... Rediculous for a pullstart motor..

check the tower codes that woodie posts in the general chaos section, and u should even be able to get free shipping, and some more money off.

I'm very happy with my os .12 cv-r and i got the slide carb version for 95 bux Very easy to tune, runs cool, and has good power.

which carb? 10c or 10e? but nevermind, i was thinking the .12tr thats the engine i was looking at before i ended up getting my rossi. 95 is still a good deal though, as the cheapest I've seen the cvr is about 120

If you ever come across an older OS .12 CZ in decent shape, buy it! They fly.
