Hope this would be the best place for this seeing as its more of a air filter question ad not something related to a Revo.

I bought one of the motor savor air filters (http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MSFRT60) for my Traxxas Revo and they say NOT to open the air filter assembly to clean the filters. If you do it more than twice, they recommend changing the filters and swapping them with brand new ones. Anyone have any input on this?

Hi,
I just carefully wash my inner and outer filter with a little mild dish soap and once rinsed clean then dry and lightly reoil the inner one before reassembly.
It's pretty simple. I bought an extra set of filters with my bottle of Nitro Filter Oil, but don't intend to use them for a very long tme. Savor my bill fold too...

I've had motor savers for quite sometime and I stock the inner filters just to have them. I probably clean and re oil after about 10 tanks or if its dirty. The foams do take washing well as long as you don't grind them so to speak when you wash them.
