Ok I bought a motor at the track for a good deal.I was wondering what glow plug I should run for Monster horse power 20% in a Trinty picco XP-21 pro-bv.I got the motor for 125 and it runs good but I puked out 2 plugs but I am not sure what plug goes in it?Thanks guys!

I myself sent mail out to ron pairis.Thanks.Lmk what you find out.

I don't have any experience with that engine but I would try O'donnell 99's, RB 6, or a Rossi 6.

I would suggest an A-5 plug by O.S. but thats me.
What heat range is that compaired to a os 8 plug?

Well I put a os 8 in it and checked the carb on it.The glow plug went bad because it sucked a little dirt through the carb.I orded a new air filter today.I also clean the engine out and resealed it and it seems to run great.Temps at about 230 just befor it ran out of fuel.:flamer:This buggy is fast but it dont keep wit the c5 and the ws7 at the track. But thats alright I am just learnin how to drive yet!

If you are just pushing 230 you have some room for more power.

the A5 is a slightly lower heat range than that of the 8.

Here is a breakdown of the O.S. plugs here:
http://www.osengines.com/accys/glowplugs.html

Also, I'm partial to the R-5, but, you have to test this one out on your mill and make sure it wont get too hot on you. I run this in my O.S. .15 CVR, O.S. .21 RZV-01B, Hyper .21 BB and even my Pico .26 Outlaw. Works great but again, matter of preference.

I would suggest testing what the manufacturer (Trinity) recommended and see how well they work out for you.

Also, what are you using to heat your plugs? What battery/power source?

Just a rechargeable glow ingniter.Does this make a difference?

:wtf: I just found out that the piston and sleave for that motor is $125.:whhooo:

It can, not enough juice makes starting a pain, but, seems like you have that under control. Remember, it only takes 10 minutes of connected glow-plug ignitor time to reduce its power enough to make starting difficult.

What color are the spent plugs?

Again, I would try what the mftr. suggested first.

The spent plugs are brown on the outer ring.I useally charge the glow ignitor befor I go racing so I usally dont have a problem starting.

Now I am having Idel problems. It Idels low and if I turn it up it is to high so i lower it and its to low and dies, then I try the mixture screw and with no luck. What % nitro should I be running? Also this motor seems like it ha good compression

20% is what I run accross the board. Unless I want to get flippy with my on-road, then, I run 30. But mostly 20%.

Sounds like it could be a leak somewhere. Without me personally pressure testing the carb I can't say for certain. You could seal the carb and try. Also, pull the HSN and LSN out and make sure the O-Rings are seated properly and there is no debris trapped up in the needles. This can cause erratic behavior, especially on a good compression mill.
