ok i go out fuel up my truck get it primed start it let it idle a few then take off , runs like a bat out of hell great take off great top end , then after about 5 mins play it takes off just ok but as it starts to pick up it bogs down really bad!! have tried adjusting it and running it on the rich side seems to help a bit. but if i let it sit a lil while ... it runs like a bat out of hell again and its not getting hot at all can spit on engine and no sizzle at all... any ideas

Possibly an air leak in the tank or some sort of fuel problem. It sounds like it's way lean, but if it's not getting hot, I'd look for a leak before the carb.

Cheers,
Curt (Sent you another PM on the Revo BTW)

although spit bubbles are a fairly reliable indicator of heat and many great things in my life have gotten better after being spit on, I would still get or borrow a temp a gun. It sounds to me like it's lean and hot. Which is also...eh disregard.

If you can't verify temp...take note of the setting, fatten it up a bit and see if it still does it. We'd all love to set those needles and forget them and just run run run...but truth is, warm up and fine tweak are nearly part of every "first run" of the day.

see thats just it not sure how it can be running lean when i have to richen it up to get it going and its blowing blue smoke the whole way until it bogs down then it doesn't smoke

You need to start it, and just run it slowly till it's completely warmed up. If you expect to start it and have it rip, it's not gonna' happen.
When it's warmed up, let us know the temperature, then start to run it and let us know if it bogs at take off or WOT.

i let it warm up for about 5 mins before takeing off, and it takes off just fine get to WOt just fine and runs great for about 15 mins then it dies so i start it back up and it takes off fine but wont rev out just bogs, guess monday ill run back to the LHS for a temp gun maybe it is running hot but it doesn't sizzle water and its been in the 60's here.....

An engine will run completely differently once its warmed up. So before you flog it, let it warm up properly then tell us how it goes. 5 minutes may not be enough for your engine.

Been a while, huh buddy?:(

I would suggest going back to factory settings and pay very cllose attention to your performance difference when you start tuning the hsn. Allways start with the hsn before tuning the lsn. You should be able to get her running pretty good with just your adjustments on the high side. Once it's good up top and your temps are good then tune your lsn. If your still having problems then you probably have other issues. Keep us posted.
