Hey all,
I'm thinking of buying a Nitro r/c car or truck. I'm not using it to do crazy things like jumps or w.e but i was wondering what is the most REALIBLE car that doesn't usually break and that is EASY to tune....Thanks

You posted this in the electric forum.

Moved to the nitro forum.

a mini mgt 3.0 is the truck to go with it has alot of power and is very durable i have had my for 3 months now and i do some very hard bashing and it still hasn't broke once and i haven't had to tune but once it's never been hotter than 210 degrees

If you can find a r/c that doesn't break let me know. As for reliability, nearly all newer makes seem to be decent quality. What you want to look for is parts availability at your local hobby store for the vehicle that fits your needs. That is always a big selling point for people, having spare parts available with a simple trip to the local hobby shop as opposed to waiting on parts to ship from the internet orders. What it comes down to really is your skill and ability to replace broken parts, no matter how careful you are it will happen eventually.

That said, I like my T-Maxx 2.5 a lot. It is a great learner, has many upgrades available, and is relatively easy to repair and upgrade. The three local hobby shops stock both stock and aftermarket parts for it, and given my area's terrain it can go basically anywhere I want to take it. It's really just a personal choice.

So far, I really like the T-Maxx for parts availability. I like the Savage (Though I don't own one) for its reputation as being very tough out of the box. There are others out there, but those are the two main MT's I hear a lot about from others. Hope this helps.

savage gets my vote for durability....I have seen those rigs get soo abused adn tossed in the backs of pickup trucks and I swear they sat in the bed all week til next weekend adn the guys pulled it out knocked the leaves off and ran it again.....

Yea I'm gonna have to go with the Savage on this one too. After building one from the ground up, the quality and durability is amazing.

Savage is a +1 for out of the box toughness but I have a revo that I think could bash with the best of savages. Depends what you prefer but I think id go with the savage for you.

You wont be doing CRAZY things you say ? i beg to differ, we all say that in the beginning , then when you see the perfect opportunity to take a jump the trigger finger takes control my friend and you usually go for it , then you break it , fix it and repeat many many times, , =devil
........but yeah go for a savage, real tank from what i 've seen ...or a revo !

personally I've got both the traxxas monsters(tmaxx 3.3 and revo)
and they are made tough the revo more then the maxx

if you are looking for a maxx ill sell mine pm me if intrested

i have a savage x and savage 21 and my lst2 is JUST as durable as they are. Yes the savage is really tough but i think everything else(mmgt 3.0) isnt given a equal chance because of the savage's reputation.
