I know man, I'm sorry - I feel bad this thing wasn't running a long time ago, but now I can't wait to get this thing running. Still have a few minor things I'd like do to it such as better steering servo and shocks but that kind of stuff can wait for now. Gotta save for the ECB :D

Ok everything has came in as of yesterday, now it's just a matter of putting the engine together (flywheel, clutch, etc) then mounting the engine to the nova engine mount - which is going to be a major pain in the ass by the way.

Also what do you guys think of this servo for steering, HS-5955TG?

-Michael

Your truck is looking sharp, did you get the engine mounted? That servo might be a little overkill....but thats not always a bad thing LOL

Lets see some progress.

Engine is not mounted yet... I order some Mugen 1.1mm clutch shoe springs which took about a week to get in, just got them a few days ago. Once the shoes and such are installed I'll be mouting the engine to the chassis. After that i've got the radio gear to finish up on (need to drill out the servo horns) and the MGT will be complete.

I'll try to get some photo's this weekend!

Well thanks to Ratzo he attached the linkage up and the pipe (hooking his finger in the process) and now the MGT is running like a champ... ok WAS running like a champ.

Got about a half a tank through the new engine then we shut it down to watch a the up coming race at the ECB. After that Ratzo tried starting it again and in the process he purposely blew the bearing on the engine so now I've got to head to the LHS to pick up a new one.

Thanks Ratzo :D

How in the hell do you blow the engine bearing during break in???

Jon I kiinda wonder the same thing. All I know is Ratzo is pretty good at fixing R/C's but even better at breaking them.

:D

He tosted the one way in the starter.
If its a one way then it shouldn't cost much. And it shouldn't be as hard to remove the main bearing. That is a PITA.

Let us know when you get her fired up!

Well looks like it's gonna be down for a bit longer. Just called Hobby Town and they don't have a one way for the picco 28. I think there is another shop in town, if not then I'll order somewhere online.

Clean up the old one and see if its bad or just got too wet.

Well it was wet when I took it apart, I cleaned it up with denatured [SIZE=-1]alcohol then dried all the parts really well. Tried starting it up and it sounded like it was going to crank for all of about 10-15 seconds then just freely spun just as it did at the bash. I'm going to have the LHS order in two new one way bearings for me and see what happens then.

Woodie try some cutting oil. I've salvaged a few one ways with that stuff. They don't want to be 100% dry.

...... RC Solutions spring steel bumper.

Woodie,

How do you like the spring bumpers??? They look really nice. Is it lighter than the stock setup??

Also, I am thinking about putting a wing on my truck. Where can I find information about putting a wing on my truck?? I could have sworn I saw a pic of one here one time, and I can't find it to save my life.

I am getting ready to hop up my MGT 4.60.

I believe those are Moabs rubber on Cheyenne rims. Both are from Proline.

Sorry guys for TOTALLY missing this...

What wheels and tires are those, I like

Ericke1 - Jon is correct the wheel and tire combo I'm running are the 40 series Moabs tire and Cheyenne rims.

TacRacing,

I did reply to your PM but thought I'd post here and answer your wing question.

First for the skid plate/ bumper setup from RC Solutions... I HIGHLY recommend them. I've already hit a 6-7" curb at damn near full speed and it didn't even leave a mark on it and the MGT is still in one peice without any damage.

As for your wing question - New Era Models does sell a wing for the MGT.
