I'm no pro modder but if i can help..This the 4th engine I've done and the first three worked awesome..

See I got all kinds of polishing tools as I was working as a metal polisher for about a year and half. I just don't want to fudge up a good engine trying it out the first time around, ever used a pencil grinder? Higher rpm then a dremel and a lot smaller too, you can get it into some real tight spaces.

Those pictures look pretty decent, your eye and hand look pretty steady! On your next attempt I wouldn't remove any material from the counterbalance as you need as much weight there as possible, and don't get too carried away with the polishing as any material removed can cause tolerance issues in certain spots. Maintaining crank case pressure and port velocity are the two key things to keep in mind when doing porting.
