Has anyone drilled a drive cup to except trx brake pins? I can't seem to find one worthy of drilling

I have thought about doing this but the problem is the cups arent wide enough to have enough meat to accept the pins without them being exposed , you could possibly braze the pins in once youve drilled it
I went the easy route and bought the flm kit that has the cups and ditched the dog bone and went and bought a hpi 77mm dogbone works great

Ya you wind up spending 25$ for one cup + another 10$ on another bone, that's just ridiculous to me,I'm not made of $,lol there's got to be a cup somewhere that has enough meat on it

You could always do this

I have a have a cup that is drilled with pegs in it. Or you can go with the Version 1 of the 3.3 brakes that had the hex like above. I think I might have a steel disc with the hex....I will have to look around.

Ya I finally just got tired of the hex from years of using it,I like the new peg design much better, all I need now is the right cup to drill to except the pins, and maybe a bit of know how

I’ve modified a bunch of cups, if it’s a good hardened cup you will probably spend more $$ on drill bits trying than just buying the FLM cup and the bone to begin with.

I have the flm one,and it came with the short bone, then Jamie sent me a new bone that he said was long enough which it is not,Still about 10mm short,I sent another email about it to try and find out if they are gonna make a longer one, just sucks spending 25$ for basically a single cup, lol, anyone have a part # for the hpi bone I need?
