I just ordered the mini mgt 3.0 so i thought i'd start a thread on it. Anyone have any pics, tips, tricks,or feedback on this truck. I want ALLLLL the info i can get. (Hobby shops like 2 hours from the house.yeah LOTS of gas per trip)

can't help ya on the mgt, but i feel your pain. no shops by me either. mailorder is my freind now. if i oder on monday i can have my goodies by thusday or friday. i got used to it

Yeah i know. I dont have the enough patience though. I always want to go right back out after i snap anything.

Iam a day late and a dollar short here but ill post anyway
I have the Mini mgt and love it. fast ad fun.
the few things i did to were put ballons on the servos and add some 1/2 off set rims . i did try some full off set rims to , the offset helps from rolling ofver to much. also adde a GT pipe and it seem to add a bit of power to the engine to.

hey guys, i have had alot of nitro rc cars/trucks over the years. I'm goin to get one in a few days. i only have 2 issues, 1 being the fact some parts are hard to get. that was takin care of cuz some one on here posted a link to some sites where i can get parts from. Next is i heard it will roll over at times. what if i lower the truck and b easy on the gas?

i like my rigs a bit lower anyway but the best idea for less rolls is the 1/2 off set rims and tires .

i wont b able to spend any money right off the bat. i will try to go lower and b easy on the gas. if i wana ditch the pull start can some show me the right parts i need so i can go with a drill start. i do have a bump box but its a pain in the ass to use.

Try getting an anti-roll bar it comes in the package for the MGT 8.0 but it's also an option for the 4.6 and the 3.0 u can also upgrade your engine to a .21 and it'll give you more torgue. oh and it is always a good idea to have a spare axile carier cause they are quite week. hope it helps :)

These are the pics of how I added the second gas tank. In another post I will show how I added a body lift kit I made out of aluminium to fit around the new tank.

Pictures of the lift kit

I had to raise the body to fit over the spare tank. My budy has the 8.0 and was talking about putting two tanks in it, that thing sucks up gas like a man dieing of thirst sucks up water, and I thought thats a good idea. I couldnt find a really good spot on this thing to mount the second tank though. The 8.0 has a perfect spot for it but I did the best I could. I think the raised body makes it look Mean. What do you guys think.

looks great man, i was also thinking of adding a 2nd tank i may have to try that as i do have a 2nd tank sitting around. how did you fasten it to the back there?

Also, do you have a single tube going into the exhaust with a fitting that goes to both lines? Where did you guys buy your pipes for your 3.0? I'm having trouble finding them? a link would be awesome

thanks

I used the gas tank mount and a piece of metal and I just drilled holes in the metal where it screws into the gas tank mount and it fit right over the rear bumber ring.

I do have a single tube going into the exhaust I bought some T fittings at the local fish store. They work perfect for fuel line. As for where I bought pipes I'm not sure what you mean. You can get almost anything for this off Ebay and if E-bay fails Tower hobbie or as a last resort beacuse of shipping cost AE's website sells everypart for this.

right on, i see you run the stock pipe/exhaust. the other guys who posted both ran a different exhaust and liked it. i just dont like the looks of the stock pipe i guess kind of a chunker.
