Hi,, I just bought a serpent off of ebay,,the car came in today. Its in A+ condition, but in the bottom on the fuel tank was just a little little bit of fuel, that is blue in color(I'm thinking its Blue Thunder). I use Sidewinder,,will that little bit of fuel in the tank mess anything up when i put in the Sidewinder fuel in it? He told me he ran 20% in the car,, and the fuel i have is 20%. Also is it possible to mix to diff brands of fuelat the same %,,and could you mix to diff fuel brands of Diff. %? I know these are newbie questions,, but just wanna be safe.

Empty your tank completley then put your fuel in and retune. I would turn everything rich before I started it, but thats the way to go.

after further review,,this not fuel left in the bottom,, its the built in fuel filter at the bottom of the tank, that has turned blue...the tank is bone dry,,only the in-tank fuel filter has been dyed a blue color.

To be safe, I would say to get a new fuel tank (not expensive at all). Once you have a new tank do a break-in proceedure. Reset the HSN and LSN to factory settings and idle the first tank in. Second tank, do lazy circles at 1/4 throttle and third tank at 1/2 thorttle. At the fourth tank your engine should be used to the fuel and final tuning should be done. This seems like a lengthy process and I know you want to use your car asap BUT you don't know how this guy treated his car. It's just better to be on the safe side.

You can remove the tank and flush it out with DA.
If the blue color bothers you then you can replace it as mentioned above.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry to much about it.
