Mini-T is on a 6-Cell / Micro Spy / Trinity Mini Machine Termination Motor
RC18b is on a 6-Cell / Mamba 25 / 6800kv Brushless

The Mini-T has to take off slow because it likes to spin plastic pinion gears quick which is why it's not too fast off the line. I'm still looking for a 1mm allen wrench to use my metal pinion gears.

Overall, 18th scale are a lot of fun on days like this.

I just got a 18B as well. Nice video these things move.Do you have a quick charger for these packs?

Yes, for the Mini-T I use the Team Losi peak charger. For the RC18 I use a dynamite peak. They are a lot of fun, but both have a lot more potential with their current setups. I'm still debating lipo in the RC18b.

Nice to see the mini-t bug running again.

I made myself a not to look for an allen wrench that will fit the metal pinions.

I must have one someplace.

That'd be awesome. Let me know if you have any luck finding one. Unless you buy a new kit they are next to impossible to find, nowhere uses a wrench that small. If all else fails I will either file down a 1.5 or drill and tap for a bigger grub screw.

The Mini-T bug and the RC18b will be with me for a while, they run well on the spots that 1/10 scales just aren't fun to run on.

I have plans for the RC18b, truggy maybe?

I just bought the 18B llast night never been ran. I can't get it to do anything all mt batteries are new and it makes a little servo noise once I turn it on. The light on the left is on if u are looking down at it and the front is pointed in front of you. Any ideas?

It's possible that you have your ESC and Steering Servo connectors backwards. Black/Ground wire should go to the outside of the receiver. Could you post a picture of your receiver? My RC18b isn't stock, I'd have to know what ESC/Receiver you are using.

props to the guys at teas associates. It is s bad speed controler, they are sending nme a new one in a few days.

Wait, if the ESC is bad then why wasn't your steering working? I didn't think the ESC had anything to do with steering. Maybe on the Mini-T, but I didn't think the AE came with a combo ESC/Receiver like the Mini-T did. Either way, congrats if they fixed the problem.

the ESC regulates the power to the RX from the battery....it could be a power capcitor or resistor issue keeping the servo from working...
Marauder, go LiPo...it's even FASTER...AND.....you get MORE bottom end power.....with a 1550 Maxamps Lipo pack I'll get around 30 min runs with my RC18MT, and it's heavy it's so freakin fast I need to upgrade my servo to something that keeps it more stable......

Yeah, I'm still learning so hopefully lipo will become more affordable by the time I'm ready for it. I'm thinking I may convert the RC18b to a truggy, mainly due to the lack of buggy parts.

What is a good set of street tires for RC18b's?

proline now has a line on 1/18 street tires. i was thinking of getting some. or trinity has some nice looking ones too for a few bucks cheaper.

Found it!

I will mail it out tomorrow.

I got a mini t tonight, can you not remove the battery that comes in it(red one)?? I get my MT2 tuesday.

A couple more, both brushless now and 2s lipo.

I've got it tuned down believe it or not, I'm learning to drive it. It is a lot faster than I can drive it, that's for sure. I'm more than happy where it's at, and everyone that sees it is amazed that something so small can go that fast. I had quite the crowd the other night, about 10-12 kids trying to catch it. :)
