IMO the best route would be to skip all the cheesy pep boys, wal mart, pocket bike stuff and just get them a honda xr50. not the cheap rip off either. the real deal. thhose things are awesome... and they can be upgraded as your kids' skills evolve... a bunch of my 20+ year old buddies have them and there a blast even at our age. just my .02

True dat, but they are CRF 50's now. I love my '04 CRF fiddy. I got BBR bars, seat pegs, shifter, tons of other poop. Fiddy's are as bad as RC's. They make 50cc ATV's now, pretty tight poop.

I looked at the CHinese 2 wheelers and discoutned them right away. I may go with a Chinese ATV, they seem well built and are getting some good reviews. I'm also looking at the 150cc off-road buggys, which also look interesting.

Ram, I may be of some help. We took on atv & cycle repair awhile back and got some cheap Honda made knockoff mini bikes from overseas. It will be Tuesday night before I could get you the name of the company and actual price,I love having Mondays of, anyway right now we have one mini crotchrocket left in stock. It is in street form. I can give you an awsome price on it, it has a 49cc engine that has never seen fuel, 0 hours on bike we even had to put battery acid in the battery, thats new right there, electric or pullstart,should run around 30/35mph its yellow and has functional lights the brake light is euro style with a clear lens and red bubbles for the lights. LMK if your interested.

I can't do a 2 wheeler. The cops around here are confiscating all of them. Our city recently passed a law you have to have a motorcycle license to ride them anywhere on the street. There are alot of sellers on the street corners now, just trying to get rid of them for $200 a piece. I have a friend who just got 40 delivered from China, and he will probably lose alot.

I'm really looking for a 4 wheel something.

Hey man i got a ATV there great i have a polaris Trailblazer 250 Automatic and it is great for kids and teenagers i have one and i go threw the woods on it and go mud riding. I have a Honda rancher as my working ATV it is elecitrc shift that is very nice i love to ride my ATV. Your kids may like a Dirtbike if there into mud and offroad.
