This one is a Microsizer knock-off. I bought it just because, and so far I've had a lot of fun with it. The cat thinks it is a mouse on steroids and just watches as I run it around the kitchen floor. Anyways, going back a little...

I saw a thread on this site a while ago about Hobbico Microsizers. I didn't see any in this area for some time. Today I took the family to the mall to let the kids play in one of the play areas. On our way to the play area, I stopped in one of the the mall hobby shops (Hungates). They had these "microsizers" for sale. The price was right ($19.99) and I decided to take one home.

Here's a link to the real deal:

Here's a quick low down on what I got. The remote is both charger and remote in one cheesy looking unit. Bottom line, cheesy looking but functional and compact. It came with four miniature cones for setting up a slalom (I guess...they are still in the package and will probably stay there). One drawback was the lack of an instruction book, but I figured the thing out. Thanks to Retread's post in another thread on Microsizers, I now have a resource for hop-ups, but I am happy with the little bugger the way it is.

The car runs great on linoleum and can handle low pile carpet. Whatever surface you run on make sure it is cat/dog hair free and fairly clean. I don't recommend running on carpet for long. These little buggers pick up lint like you read about, and that just clogs up the works on their little wheels.

Here are some images of what I got:

The box it came in...company I have never heard of:

aww that is so cute sky....

seriously though, thanks for the info....I have seen those everywhere, and now I may have to get one to chase my pugs.

I have a DigiQ. These are some of the fastest micros out of the box, but is really hard to controll. I also have a BitCharger with is dope because you could upgrade it with faster engines, body kits etc..... If you are the tank type, DigiQ makes mini tanks that have infrared cannons on them and you could battle your friends. If you get hit, the tank spins. When you shoot, the tank pushes backwards a little for realism. Kinda like that atari game Combat. The one that came with the system.

how are MicroSizers? K*B Toys has them for $35, i was gonna buy one, but i think i might just get a Mini Z.... what do you guys thing?

Since I did a search last night prior to making my post to make sure that someone hadn't already covered this ground, I'll share the fruits of those labors with you.

This is a thread started by X addressing Mini Zs and the fun they can be. Good information:

This is a thread started by Darthracer asking about the Hobbico Microsizer:

This is a thread started by RaCinJason399 asking about Microsizers; in it Retread (one of the mods) put a link to another site called Tiny RC. Great resource:

As for what I think....I think I covered that in the beginning of this thread. The little buggers are fast and fun to toy with. There are hopups available and more than one brand that makes them. For the price, not a bad way to bring your hobby into your house without tearing the place up too badly.

thanks alot sky, it seems people like them both, and i think the Microsizer might be fun because i can drive them on dinner tables and stuff, not to mention a whole lot cheaper ;)

Well orginally and I think I posted this. I was going to buy the smaller microsizers and I did some research on them. After I looked at what I would be spending after hopups and fully equiping 2 of them for myself and the wife or a friend I decided that Mini-z was the way for me. now if I planeed on not doing any hop-ups what so ever then the smaller bit charger aka microsizer would be my recomendation. I also liked the mini because it has variable steering rate where as all the small 1/64th have non-variable its all or nothing when turning. I have went as far as building a Mini-z track for my garage and myself and a couple friends will put it out and hook it up we did last weekend after bashing the sun went down the t-maxxes got cleaned then the Mini-z track went out and we had a blast with them. You just need to decide what you want to invest and how much you want to mess with them...X

i got a Microsizer, its fun but hair gets caught too easily (i have a dog). i think i made the right decision over the Mini Z :)

You sure did, X. I referenced your thread about the Mini Zs. Check my last reply on this thread for the link to your thread.

Congratulations! Glad you are having fun. I had the same problem with mine. The little buggers sure can pick up hair and lint.
