I just got my day A MGT 8.0. it run great for a little bit! Then I started turning the metering valve instead of the LSN!!!! I look at the manual and it told me to turn the metering vale even with the carb. Does that mean flush? No matter what way I turn it, it does get any better. The temps don't go over 150F. But when it is almost out of gas it gets all of it power back. I am lost! Help me PLease!!!

It's too rich, which is evidenced by the performance increase when the tank runs out and leans out the system. Turn the HSN (I think that's what you mean by "metering valve"... it's the one on the big stem that sticks out of the carb and has a fuel line nipple on it.) in 1/8 turn until it seems like you're not getting a performance increase (fill the tank 1/2 full before tuning) and report back.

I mean the mid range needle. I have that all out of wack. I have the settings like this now HSN 2 1/2, LSN 5 3/4, and mid 1 1/4. I am going to try this setup tomorrow. And hope for the best. I will let you guys know how I make out!

I would re-set it again. The MRN is literally for the pros at tuning. I would put it back to factory.
