Anybody ever had this happen. A friend was running his savage at my house. He has the metal spur gear and hardened clutch bell. The truck stopped all of a sudden and he shut it down to check it out. 3 of 6 of the screws holding the spur gear together came out. I have been running a metal spur gear for a while and have never seen this happen. The guy has modified the engine and it is a brutal beast. Any clues? The screws did have blue locktite on them. Thanks:

Did he allow the loctite to cure?

Now that I think about... there will be heat with the two, I wonder if the heat dissapation melted the loctite allowing the screws to back out.

yeah, i've had this happen on my spur gear once...but i only lost like 2 screws, so i re aranged them to be symetrical, and re-applied loctite to all of them.
