Just wondering if anybody on here is into this or know anything about? I'm looking at getting into it, the water levels around here are dropping and I think I could find me some nice jewelry at the beaches. Water levels dropping sucks but hey maybe I can make some money out of it.

For the money, Whites is a good brand. My mom has one and finds all sorts of stuff. Was 10 out of 10 rating when we got it for her two years ago. Id look at them.

I got it narrowed down to 2, I don't want to spend a lot more than $200 and what I've seen on the forums is that in that price range the Fisher F2 and Garrett Ace 250 are perfect for me. With Fisher F2 being slightly better what I'm wondering is, do I need all these extra coils. They have package deals with extra coils, one is a 4" sniper coil and a 10" for deeper treasure. I'm just wondering if these are necessary. The package I'm looking at has the sniper coil and a handheld pin pointer, for just an extra $10, they both sell separately for around $60 each.

Way back when, when I managed a Radio Shack, the 2-best brands that we knew of were White's and Garrett. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them.
