Hey guys,is there any good tricks to setting the mesh on these electric motors? Its kinda hard to do with these little motors. I have no problem with the nitro motors but it is my first electric truck.

What I do is push the motor to the spur gear so it's a tight mesh. Tighten the screws holding the motor down, back them off until you can wiggle the motor. Then spin the wheels or the spur gear let the spur set it's own mesh. Because they aren't perfectly round. Once you have done this take a thin sheet of paper and roll it between the pinion and spur. If it tears the paper it's too tight. If it just crinkles it like an accordion you're good to go

When I race I change gearing alot. A good trick is to set it tight and snug the screws. Back them off just a tad so you can move the motor keeping it flat to the mounting plate. Move the motor just a tad so that you have a touch of wiggle room between the gears. Rotate the spur a full turn while testing the gap all the way around. The gap your looking for isn't much.

isn't much at all! it's a 1/24th losi sct. I got it in after doing it about 5 times, just didn't think it was correct mesh. But after that I did get it set but it is a tad bit louder than b4 but I ran 2 batteries through it and seems to be holding up. I am not real impressed in the power difference, but it does seem to eat up the battery faster so I might end up putting the stock motor back in. Fun little truck but was trying to pull a fast one on the competition.
