I noticed the clutch bell and spur gear are not dead center aligned. Is this normal?

Not sure if its normal for the engine that came with the truck, all three of the engines that I'm using, axial .28, axial.32, and and ofna engine all kinda look like you picture, with the messh slightly out of alignment....like my clutch bell doesn't touch the entire tooth faces of the spur gear, a
Almost like the engine sits a mm too far back...wouldn't ya say.

I never gave it that much though....hopefully someone give us the heads up

If you changed the clutch bell did you remember to shim it up, if there's room for a shim/ washer that should make the gear teeth touch on all tooth faces

I'd put mine just before the internal bearing (in between the nut that holds down your fly wheel, and the inside bearing of the clutch bell, not sure if anyone else does this but it's working for me

Not all engines are the exactly the same, some the shaft might be longer or shorter...that's why I keep a good stock of washers and shims

is this after you took the motor out or is this from the factory? typically i can get mine line up properly when i put a motor back in and doing the spur mesh alignment

this was from factory setting. But I removed the motor and was able to get it to sit better towards the middle of the spur gear.
