Welcome to the Dark Side! We have cookies!

The good thing about the mERV is that they don't require a lot of regular maintenance.

HMMMMM cookies!!!!!! :hehe: I'm looking forward to getting it going, i was able to run one 2s pack thru it and it was a blast, hopefully by the end of the week ill have all my parts for it and have a little fun with it,

I too just got a MERV and it is my first RC car in awhile. Had a Duratrax car about 7 or 8 years ago but didn't stick with it. I also am looking at upgrade parts. Can you list what you have coming? So far I have an second stock battery and the series cable, a heatsink, and wheelie bar installed. I also just got a center diff for it but want to wait a little while before putting it in so I can tell the difference better. I have a couple 2s lipos and a couple 3s lipos in the mail and hope to get those soon.

Just tires, wheels, and some rpm items, for now, will most likely order a few more 2s batteries, and I still need to buy a soldering station and some deans plugs.

As for recommended upgrades, rpm arms rpm bumpers,a good shock set, just for starters.

I know you can't run 2s or 3s lipos in seriers in the MERV but can you run them in parallel for longer run times? I plan to switch all my batteries and ESC to XT60 plugs because that is what I use on my planes. Makes it easier when charging if they are all the same plug.

I want to add the RPM bumper and arms but need to wait a little before spending too much more money. I also just ordered a Hitec x4 4 port charger because I have 1 charger at this time and between my car, planes, and heli I am going to be charging non stop.

A tip on the deans plugs, you can get them cheap at www.hobbyking.com. They are not "Deans" but work just as well. I was using those on all my batteries but don't like how the male plug's connectors aren't covered for my lipos. I store a couple together in a lipo safe bag and worry that something would get shorted out while moving around. but either way Hobby King is a good place to order parts like that if you are not in a big hurry. They come from China.

The female plug goes on the battery packs. ;) They're recessed too, so that's not an issue.
