Hey guys
I am going to get a vxl merv soon
What are some needed upgrades? I want to stay away from traxxas brand stuff because it's over priced. Also I want a good set of road tires and wheels ( a road car set not road rage if possible )

Sent from my Personal Assistant.

I upgraded to RPM Arms and knuckles all around as well as RPM Bumpers front and rear. I also installed a center diff to help keep the front end on the ground (sorry, I only found them from Traxxas) and then I got some GPM Titanium links and push-rods. I run Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs on 2.2 Titus Beadlocks.

You might try 1/10 scale touring sedan tires and wheels if you don't like the Road Rage tires.

Only think iv found u need to upgrade/keep a spare of the following
Diffs, I have 2 spares
Heatsink, maybe with fan?
Cut the front window out for air flow
Get the harder springs when running off road
Thicker shock oil 75k
Spur gear is a must, cheap part that can kill your day
Wheelie bar
Hpi wheels/Tyres for on road applications
With the road Tyres you'll need the traxxas shock limiters, this will lower the car
White springs that are on the rally cars.

You don't need to waist money on bumpers and arms till they break. I only have rpm arms on my big revo as I broke one so I replace the whole lot. I just broke the front body post on the Merv on the weekend so ill need to order one of those soon. Only reason that broke was because I was running it with the body off.
