i know this isnt the subject but in the last rc driver mag it says something about losi making a new 8th scale buggy but it doesn't say much more about it just that its going to be the 1st american made 8th scale buggy ever (just my 2 cents)
I thought the Jammin was american made by Jay Halsey? No?Or is just a knock off of the Hyper buggy?

What about Thunder Tigers line?

Nope, the OFNA/Jammin is a Hong Nor buggy just like the OFNA 9.5, and the OFNA Ultra series. Here is the CRT truggy on Hong Nor's website:
www.hongnor.com

I have heard that Thunder Tiger's buggy isn't american either. When you type thunder tiger into google, the first link that comes up is Thunder Tiger Taiwan, so I guess that is probably where they are made.

If it's anything like the XXX, the arms will be decent, but the bulkheads will shatter with any kind of board-contact.

It should be interesting to see it in action, though.

Well, it will be 1/8 scale, so the front end is a totally different design. I think after all this waiting they might have taken a few notes ;)

I hope so. It'll be interesting to see if Associated fires back with an 8th scale of their own. But, judging by the fact that AE has never released a 4wd 10th scale buggy, I doubt they'd release an 8th scale.

Either way, I'm glad to see Losi throwin their hat in the ring (even tho I'm an AE person).

Doesn't AE own Thunder Tiger? BTW, I've always kinda considered the Mayhem to be a Losi buggy, since it shares some parts with the LST.

Nope. AE and Thunder tiger are partners (in a way... AE uses their engines, and in turn, lends their team drivers to TT for the 8th scales).

I don't know much about the Mayhem/LST, altho, it wouldn't surprise me if those two company's somewhat co-operated on the Mayhem buggy.

TT owns AE (or the other way around, Not sure)...the MGT is actually a TT truck that AE just rebadged......
and Losi owns Sportwerks....
this is what I've heard for about a year now from the business people at eth LHS.....
