Is the mayhem a good buggy. I want to know this before I get it, because I don't want to do what I did last time and buy a freaking bad car. Please tell me if this is good. And also tell me if there are buggies out there that are the same comparible price. THANKS!!! :fro:

:fro: I know I was thinking about getting one of those too. I heard they come with a crapy starter box but whatever I can get a new one of those. Other than that I think it looks preaty good. Do you know of any other buggies that are good though I want to have a good selection to pic from. I heard the mp777 is really good is this true? THANKS!!!!!

Ya well if your gonna be a hard core racer then go prospec but other wise i think the hyper 7 would be perfect. you talking about the rtr kyosho mp777? If so i really dont have time to go there. I would strongly suggest not buying a rtr kyosho... Go on aol instant messanger... I have ur sn.

I've got a Mayhem pro and like it a lot. This was my first nitro buggy. I've raced it four or five times now and have qualified in the top 4 every time but one. I've even won a main and got the top three the other times. There are a few things I've done to it following some other's examples, such as different shock springs, clutch shoes/springs, etc. I'm racing against mostly Mugens, Jammins, and Xrays. One of the fastest guys at the track runs a Mayhem Pro with the Sportwerks .26.

I have a Mayhem RTR and it's a great buggy. We have a whole thread on them here. I think you'll find great info and see that it's a great ride.

The Mayhem is in a class of it's own, there is NO RTR that compares, value wise, handling or durability. I own two of them and have no complaints whatsoever. I wish my Prospec came with some better items, such as the cheesy throttle/brake linkage. I just bought a Mayhem set-up and put it on my Prospec. The Mayhem comes with stock items that are only options on all the other buggies. I know this from 1st hand experiance, not hear-say or speculation. I have no interest building up "my brand", but just want to state my own experiance.
You will not go wrong with a Mayhem, BEST RTR for the money, period!

I agree with the Sgt. The Mayhem RTR is the best RTR for the money. I have both a Mayhem RTR and the Hyper PBS and I have to say that the Mayhem handles much better right out of the box. The radio is great and the servos are pretty good. The Hyper PBS is good but it handles kinda like a tank and the servos that come with it are cheap and the radio is cheap, too. The Sportwerks .26 is a great engine and is really punchy down low and it screams up top. The hyper 21 8 port on the PBS is good up top but down low it could use some more guts. I've run several gallons through both of the cars and they are holding up just fine. No broken parts yet on the Mayhem except a broken front bumper but I run on a track that has the consistency of concrete...

For an RTR, I'd go with the Mayhem. My second choice is the PBS but be prepared to spend about $100 more to get the radio and servos that are good.

If you look around enough, you can get a Mayehm RTR for about $460 or so; average price is $550.

I agree with the above comments on the RTR
the mayhem is one of the best buggys in all sences
it's robust , it drives well, is original and costs are minimal, parts being extremely well priced , so you wouldn't be disappointed
just check all metal to metal screws for locktide
and after first rounds, for tires letting loose

but now there is the jammin' X1-cr also
same thing but more planted on his legs
and drives extremely well, I think

I have to add my agreement with the statments above. Nothing can touch the mayhem as an RTR good radio, spin start, Strong .26, tough bug all around. I've had mine for a year now with 5 gals 30% and still going strong. I've been abnormly hard on my bug. Thats how I test the parts I make you can see them here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=5975410983
I'm in the testing process of other parts as well.

Anyway go mayhem it is the best (for the money)BOOYA
