I was out running my maxx, and before I ran, the spur gear would turn freely the other way like it should and now it does not. Anyone know what that could be?

maybe there is something stuck in a tranny,clean the gearbox and etc if you have been using it off road..
other then that I got no idea.

Check for a piece of gravel caught up in the drive train.

do both front and rear spin together in the same direction by hand?

I will do the diff tests when I get home tommorow.

If you don't find a small stone caught up on the outside, pull the pins on the center drive shafts and rotate the diffs and the trans. If it's not on the outside, it will probably be a broken tooth on a gear.

When I turn the front wheels, the back hardly move...Is that bad? And when I put it on all fours, and push it backwards, it sounds like a rc from radioshack. and it has alot of resistance moving backwards.

Disconect the axles and try to turn the tranny....If that works fine...then check eack diff and see if they work right..Oh you said you were doin a dif test..anyway thats what I would do.
